Heralding from the disco clubs of the late 70’s, Betty Aus was claiming dancefloors at an early age. Headlining Flo’s Nightclub in Oxford St, Sydney, this was just the beginning of a career spanning over 3 and a half decades. Betty Aus was known to approach the sets with accessible yet defining dance experiences, crafting from such a diverse catalogue of self-production, remixing and re-edits, which formed the DV8 Remix service, Australia’s first unofficial remix service.
As a DJ responsible for clubs such as Flo’s and Patches in Sydney, The Terminus and The Beat Megaclub in Brisbane and The Green Dragon In Adelaide, Betty Aus went on to be one of the first DJ’s to play at Brisbane’s rock venue ‘Festival Hall’ and iconic (and also notorious) ‘The Playroom’ on the Gold Coast. As an Import specialist for Disco City in Sydney and Dance Music in Brisbane, Betty Aus was always ahead of the curve.
