Veni Vidi Vici by Aldo Diaz

“Veni Vidi Vici” is one of the songs included on Madonna`s new adventure, “Rebel Heart”, to be released next 10th of March. The song isn’t usually referred when fans talk about the album. Good to read that DAN WOOTTON has chosen it as the 4th best track of “Rebel Heart”, in his review, just published in THE SUN.

The first thing that attracted me to the song were its lyrics. Madonna has a huge background and history now. It is fair and natural that she creates a small tribute to her legacy. And the lyrics are really amazing. For example:

“I expressed myself, came like a virgin down the aisle. Exposed my naked ass and I did it with a smile. And when it came to sex, I know I walked the borderline. When I struck a pose, all the gay boys lost their mind. I saw a ray of light. Music saved my life.”

On my humble opinion, the song has an “Erotica” feeling. Yet, what I think it really is brilliant, is that sometimes music and Madonna`s vocal adapt slightly when she reports to a special time in her career. I mean, for example, when she sings the excerpt “Ray Of Light”, her voice really fits her own theme. And the same when she sings some other references. Madonna and this song are simply brilliant. Thank you, once more.
